Seems like it's been ages since I've been here.  Lots of things have changed and many people I knew seem to be gone or like myself have disappeared from DA.  Well I've painted a couple things since I last posted anything most of those pieces are gone now.  Well its very hard to sit and create when you have many things hanging overhead; hopefully things can settle a bit to where I can really take the time to paint.  To all my friends here; glad to be back and seeing your work seems you all who were great are now marvelous.  Well heres a promise to myself and you guys... I'll have something new up soon.

Feel the weight of it in your hand... the smoothness of its plastic coating cool in your palms as its dragged gently across the paper... it belongs. Like  friends reconciled over drinks;  years of distance and yet you smile and laugh together like yesterday. hairs like felt soft and tender; goodnights kiss on her cheeck... .. heavy with paint.. back at it again.. good to be back

I never thought I'd be so so so happy to be able to go to the restroom flip the switch and be able to see the toilet, I have light!!!! Finally after 9 and a half days, power is finally back. I know to everyone whose had power is like so whats but when its hot and no AC. and what worse the refrigerator has melted and theres no ice in the stores, this now is like heaven. Thanks to everyones kind comments and best wishes.

now to find the charity that gave me some ice the other day i was out, don't have much money but there getting some from me..

Hey everyone, so my little town of Houston is under Ikes rule. If you hadn't heard yet in the news Houston got hit pretty hard by hurricane Ike, we have no electricity, water is running but must be boiled. Stores are running low on water and especially ice and well the line to get gas can get up to a 5 - 6 hour wait. My family and I thankfully can say we faired out well, noone in my family was hurt. We sustained some roof damage on my house as the hurricane came through blowing off part of the roof. Well i'm sitting in the McDonalds parking lot now the only place I know with any internet access, the cop in the police car has been eyeing me a bit guess he figures i'm stealing the wifi, but i'm not i had to pay to get on. Well I guess I better get going hope everything is well for you guys and my apologies if it takes me a while to answer comments, no power = no internet. until next time
